This is a magnificent journey through the former Habsburg Empire. See Munich’s historic Marienplatz and Prague’s 1,000-year-old Hradcany Castle. Travel via Bratislava in the Slovak Republic to Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria for guided sightseeing. A romantic cruise on the Danube River is included before entering Sound of Music country on your way to Salzburg, where your guided walking tour includes Mozart’s Birthplace. Then on to Oberammergau in the Bavarian Alps for the highlight of your trip – a once-a-decade performance of the famous Passion Play staged by by the town’s locals to fulfil a promise made to God in 1634.
