- Are prices based on double occupancy?
Prices are per person, based on two persons sharing a room. Single room supplements and triple room reductions are listed where available.
- Can children travel on Globus tours?
An adult must accompany travellers who are less than 18 years old on the tour departure date; the child receives a 10% discount on the land tour price. We do not accept children under the age of 8 on escorted tours, because we have found they are too young to enjoy these holidays.
On our independent tours (Monograms), there is no minimum age requirement. Land arrangements for infants under two are free of charge, providing parents pay directly to the hotels for food, crib, etc. Infants sometimes fly free of charge if they do not occupy a seat, while some airlines charge 10%. An airline ticket is always required for the child. Please arrange for this ticket directly with the airline.
- Can I book for a group
If you form your own group, you'll receive the following rebates on the land arrangement of your holiday:
- On holidays including a cruise of three or more nights, one person travels free in a group of 32; while one person travels at half price in a group of 16.
- On all other tours, one person travels free in a group of 16; while one person travels at half price in a group of eight.
These rebates are applicable to land-only prices (not air-inclusive prices). Free and half-price land arrangements are credited at the twin rate (single room supplements have to be paid in full).
Terms & Conditions for goup bookings may differ from those for individual bookings. Please contact your Travel Agent for further details.
- Can I change my mind after booking?
Should you be uncertain what your commitments will be leading up to your departure, Globus offers a SafetyNet Protection policy*, for $75 per person. The $75 SafetyNet Protection must be paid at the time of the tour deposit and is payable per person per booking (not per tour) and is non-refundable.

- Do I need Travel Insurance?
- We strongly recommend that you have a travel insurance policy whilst travelling. It’s important that you protect yourself in case of natural disasters, lost or delayed baggage and unforseen medical expenses.
- Do you accept travellers with special needs and requirements?
Any disability requiring special attention should be reported to Globus by you or your travel agent at the time the reservation is made. Globus will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of disabled tour participants, but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so, nor is it responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a tour member for walking, dining, and getting on and off motorcoaches and other transportation vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified companion must accompany travellers who need such assistance.

- What is a Guaranteed Departure?
The tour departures marked "GD" or "GUARANTEED DEPARTURE" are guaranteed to operate.
The tour departures marked [GD] are guaranteed to operate. Furthermore, Globus guarantees most European tours & UK tours that are still in operation 45 days prior to the published departure date, USA & Canada tours 30 days prior, and Asia & South/Central America tours 30 days prior. Throughout our European peak periods, from 1 May to 15 October, Globus guarantees most Europe & UK departures that are still in operation 60 days prior to departure. Throughout our American peak periods, from 15 May to 15 October, Globus guarantees most USA & Canada tours that are still in operation 60 days prior to departure.
PLEASE NOTE: This guarantee does not apply in any situation where the safety of clients is at potential risk (any act of terrorism or war, political unrest, global health warnings or Force Majeure*, etc); or when the operation of a vacation is not possible for reasons beyond our control (such as industrial action/strikes and operational restrictions); to multiple coach departures (i.e. "A" coach) or late cancellation of group parties.
*Force Majeure: French for "act of God; an inevitable, unpredictable act of nature, not dependent on act of man. Used in insurance contracts to refer to acts of nature such as earthquakes or lightning."
- What is a single room supplement?
We do not take reservations on a "share" basis because we have found that strangers rarely enjoy sharing a room for the duration of a holiday. If you prefer the privacy of your own room, this can be arranged for you with an extra fee. Single supplement prices are listed on the Dates & Prices tab on each itinerary.
(Please note: Payment of the single room supplement ensures your own room, not necessarily a twin-bedded room).
- Will I need a passport and visa?
Passports are needed when travelling outside your country. Your passport should have at least six months validity once your trip concludes.
You are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas prior to the departure of your tour. Depending on your nationality, you may need visas to enter certain countries included on your trip. We strongly advise that you consult your travel agent well in advance to determine which visas you require and how to obtain them.
For Australian Citizens, the Australian Government provide country specific information for every country in the world, including quick facts for passport and visas. This information can be found at: http://smartraveller.gov.au
- Will i receive a discount for booking multiple tours?
Book two Globus vacations or more travelling in the same calendar year and receive 5% discount off the land portion of your second or subsequent tours. The more tours you book the more you save!
