Frequently Asked Questions

What is an eligible booking?

Eligible bookings include new bookings of Globus, Cosmos and Avalon Waterway packages purchased using Australian Dollars, sold either through Globus, Cosmos or Avalon Waterways directly or via one of their booking agents. Members will not earn points if a booking is cancelled prior to the date of departure, the holiday is booked with staff, companion or Friends and Family discounts, travel industry member discounts, press and partnership trips or participant holidays provided as a prize to prize winners.

If a member adds multiple Qantas Frequent Flyer members to the booking, the total amount of points earned will be split equally between passengers under the same Reference number found on your invoice. Points are calculated on the tour/cruise price excluding any promotional discounts, port charges, taxes, solo traveller supplements and gratuities.

There are multiple passengers in the one booking, can the Qantas Points earned be divided equally?

Yes the Qantas Points earned on your booking can be equally divided between the individuals’ Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts if the QFF members details have been added or prior to departure. As an example, if the entire booking will earn 10,000 Qantas Points and you add two QFF members details, each member will earn 5,000 Qantas Points.

I have an existing booking with Globus, Cosmos or Avalon Waterways without realising I could earn Qantas Points. Am I eligible for the Qantas Points?

No, only bookings made on or after 13 April 2022 will be eligible to earn Qantas Points. Members who have made a booking after 13 April 2022 are permitted to add their Qantas Frequent Flyer number to their booking prior to departure in order to be eligible to earn Qantas Points.

How do I book a tour package with Globus, Cosmos or Avalon Waterways and earn Qantas Points?
